  • One campground: Devils Garden is the only campground in the park. NPS lists an RV max length of 40 ft, and sites range from 20 to 40 ft, so book one that fits your rig.
  • It sells out: reservations cover nights from March 1 to October 31 and open at 10 a.m. Eastern, six months ahead. In that season the campground is usually full every night.
  • Winter is walk-up: November through February, sites are first-come, first-served. Download the Recreation.gov app before you arrive for Scan & Pay.
  • No hookups: no electric, water or sewer hookups, and no dump station. Arrive with full fresh water and empty tanks.
  • Group sites are tent-only: no RVs or trailers in the group sites.

  • The Needles: 26 sites. Some can be reserved spring through fall; the rest of the year it’s first-come, first-served.
  • No hookups in either campground. There’s no cell coverage in the Needles District, so download maps and confirmations before you go.
  • Big rig? NPS points to BLM and private campgrounds around Moab, and some of those have hookups.

  • Parking limit: vehicles over 23 ft can’t park in the Bryce Amphitheater during shuttle hours. Shuttle season runs mid-April to mid-October, and campers are encouraged to leave their rig at camp and ride the free shuttle.

  • Fruita Campground: 71 sites among the historic orchards. There are no pull-through sites.
  • Site sizes: most sites in Loops A and B are under 40 ft. Most in Loop C run 40 to 52 ft. The official map lists every site’s length.
  • No standard hookups: there’s an RV dump and potable water fill station near the entrance to Loops A and B. It sometimes closes for maintenance.
  • Booking: reservations open six months ahead on Recreation.gov.
  • Scenic Drive: the 7.9-mile road is paved. The dirt spurs into Grand Wash and Capitol Gorge are OK for RVs up to 27 ft, weather permitting. It’s not a loop, so you’ll drive back the way you came.
